Hello from New York. We are with Dr. Matt Kaeberlein, who is in Seattle. And today, we will discuss aging. Dr. Matt Kaeberlein is a professor of Laboratory Medicine, Pathology, and Genome Sciences at the University of Washington. His research interests are focused on mechanisms of aging on the promotion of healthspan and improving quality of life. Dr. Kaeberlein studied biochemistry and mathematics at Western Washington University initially. He then obtained a Master of Arts and Ph.D. from MIT working at the lab of the famous anti-aging researcher, Dr. Leonard Guarente. He has done a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Genome Sciences at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Kaeberlein published over 200 papers in peer-reviewed top scientific journals and has been recognized by several prestigious awards. And I'll list a few of those breakthroughs in gerontology award, Alzheimer's Association, Young Investigator Award, Ellison Medical Foundation New Scholar in Aging Award, Pioneer in Aging Award, and other prestigious prizes. Dr. Kaeberlein is past president of the American Aging Association and is currently the chair of the Biological Sciences section and the Gerontological Society of America. Dr. Kaeberlein serves on several editorial boards for several journals, including science and his life. Dr. Kaeberleinis also co-director of the University of Washington Nathan Shock Center of Excellence in the basic biology of aging. Dr. Matt Kaeberlein, PhD. Dr. Anton Titov, MD. He is the founding director of the Healthy Aging and Longevity Research Institute at the University of Washington. He's also the founder and co-director of the dog aging project.
